Expo 2030 Riyadh, a company fully owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has announced the appointment of Eng. Talal bin Hussein Al-Mari as Chief Executive Officer. He will lead the company responsible for developing and operating Expo 2030 Riyadh.
Eng. Al-Mari brings with him a distinguished track record in the industrial and energy sectors, having held several senior leadership positions at Saudi Aramco. These include President and Chief Executive Officer of Aramco Europe, Senior Vice President of Community Services, and Senior Vice President of Industrial Services. During his tenure at Aramco Europe, he oversaw the company’s investments across the European continent and led strategic initiatives that advanced Aramco’s digital transformation and global expansion. He also held international assignments in London and Seoul.
This appointment comes in conjunction with the Public Investment Fund’s announcement of the official launch of Expo 2030 Riyadh Company, which will be responsible for building, operating, and managing the facilities of the first World Expo to be hosted in the Kingdom. The company will also work on the long-term investment and development of the event’s infrastructure, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s position as a global hub for major international events.
